SAMIT Youth Multi-Purpose Helmets, sold on Amazon by SAMIT Outdoor, have been recalled. The helmets do not meet the federal bicycle helmet standard's positional stability and certification requirements and can fail to protect the user in a crash, posing a risk of serious head injury or death.
What to do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Samit Outdoor for a full refund. Consumers should destroy the recalled helmet by cutting the straps off. Consumers can upload photos of the helmet with the straps cut off to usjialebei@foxmail.com to obtain a refund.
