Official title: Blue Wave Recalls Above-Ground Pools 48 Inches and Taller Due to Drowning Hazard
Blue Wave above-ground pools 48 inches and taller were sold at The Home Depot, Lowe's, Dunham's Sports, Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Wayfair.com. The compression strap around the outside of the pool legs may create a foothold that lets a child get into the pool, even with the ladder removed, posing a drowning risk.
What to do
Consumers should contact Blue Wave to request a free repair kit. In the interim, consumers should ensure that children cannot access the pool unattended or, alternatively, drain the pool until the repair can be installed.
