Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live) at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor and members of their immediate families and households are not eligible.
Entry period
Each monthly giveaway's start and end dates and times (Eastern Time) are posted on this page and at tadpoletales.com/giveaway. Sponsor's clock is the official clock.
How to enter
Subscribe to the Tadpole Post, Sponsor's free email newsletter, at tadpoletales.com, and confirm your subscription, either by clicking the confirmation link Sponsor emails you or by signing up with Google. Each subscriber who has confirmed before the Entry Period ends and is still subscribed when the winner is drawn receives one (1) entry. Subscribers who joined before the Entry Period are entered automatically. Limit one subscription per person and email address; using multiple or disposable addresses to enter is not allowed.
Bonus entries for referrals
Each subscriber gets a personal referral link. You receive 5 bonus entries for each person who (a) signs up for the Tadpole Post for the first time through your link, (b) confirms their subscription during the Entry Period, and (c) is an eligible, real person other than you. There is no limit on bonus entries. Referrals of people already subscribed, referrals to yourself (including under another address), and referrals obtained through automated means, fake identities, or paid or incentivized sign-ups do not count. Sponsor does not send messages to people you refer; you share your link yourself and are responsible for following applicable law (including anti-spam law) when you do. A referred subscriber who later unsubscribes does not remove bonus entries already earned.
Prize
Each month's prize and its approximate retail value are posted here. No cash alternative, transfer, or substitution, except Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Taxes and any costs not listed are the winner's responsibility.
Odds and drawing
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Within seven (7) days after the Entry Period ends, Sponsor will select one winner by random drawing from all eligible entries, weighted by each subscriber's number of entries. Sponsor may review entries before the drawing and disqualify any that do not follow these rules.
Winner notification
The potential winner will be notified at their subscription email address and must reply within 7 days with a US shipping address and any requested confirmation of eligibility. If the potential winner does not respond in time, is ineligible, or the prize is returned undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner drawn from the remaining eligible entries.
General conditions
Sponsor may disqualify anyone it finds tampering with the entry process, entering by fraudulent means, or violating these rules. If the giveaway cannot run as planned because of fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's control, Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend it and select a winner from eligible entries received before the action. Sponsor's decisions are final.
Release and limitation of liability
By entering, you agree to these rules and release Sponsor and its service providers from any liability arising from the giveaway or the prize, to the extent permitted by law. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or undeliverable entries or emails.
Privacy
Entrant information is used to run the giveaway and send the Tadpole Post, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe at any time, but unsubscribing before the drawing removes your entries.
Not affiliated with social platforms
This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, Google, or any other platform where it may be shared. Entrants release those platforms from any liability.
Governing law
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
